A Study on the Winning and Losing Factors of Para Ice Hockey Using Data Mining-Based Decision Tree Analysis

This study aims to explore the winning and losing factors of Para Ice Hockey (PIH) games using a data mining-based decision tree analysis targeting PIH in international competitions organized by World (WPIH). To achieve purpose collection, 66 among nations participating four for last two years WPIH, were selected as subjects. The 3432 game records provided WPIH collected variables. results this are follows: First, teams recorded 5.79 goals, 24.05 total shots on goal (SOG), 57.79% face-off percentage, 7.62 saves (SVS), 0.24 power play goals (PPGs), 0.39 penalty-killing (PKGs) per recorded. 0.89 8.52 SOG, 42.21% 18.26 SVS, 0.82 PPG, 0.05 PKG showed significant differences. When looking at period, differences revealed PPG except third shorthanded (SHGs) SVS second period. highest SOG first, second, periods, while reverse order.
